Dog Sticker from Photo

My client, a dog lover, wanted to have a custom sticker with a portrait of her dog, an Australian Shepherd.

My goal was to create a vector portrait of the dog, simplifying the image while keeping all of the dog’s features, like spots of color and thoughtful, mismatched eyes.

I’ve started by tracing the lines of the photo, then applied fill to the resulting shapes. I enlarged her eyes just a bit and added sparkles to make them more prominent.
