My client needed to illustrate an article on his new website, scratchtax.com, with a simple infographic showing some freelance statistics. However, the infographic he found didn’t match the brand style.
My goal was to make a new version of the infographic using the brand colors and styles.
To maintain consistency with the existing design, I used the Nunito typeface for the infographic. The number of words on the arrow in the central panel was reduced to match the look of the first and the last panels.
While working, I noticed that the bar charts in the original infographic were probably created using a non-zero baseline, which can be misleading. After discussing this with the client we decided to use use the correct scale for the charts of the updated version.
The finished infographic blended seamlessly with the existing website.
